       If it was a deliberate act then it is the very definition of
       “deception of a match official”.  Its rarely used, perhaps this
       is a trend to using it more frequently?

       On the question of ‘guesswork’, I remember a colleague who,
       having given a decision, if a player said “You never saw that,
       ref”, would say “I don’t have to see it.  I judge it.  That’s my
       job.”
       I tried this once myself, and got the response “Well you’re not
       doing a very good job”!
