European Wildfires

To all of those in France, Spain or other countries affected by
these wildfires, please stay safe.
Especially those around what is now being classed as a
‘megafire’ and ‘firestorm’, where the fires of France and Spain
are close to, if not already, clashing. Firestorms have been
formed, providing their own forms of weather.
These fires are uncontrollable, and no matter how many fire
personnel try to get involved, it is past the point of
extinguishing without natural causes.
The incoming heatwave in France won’t help either.
Please stay safe and show appreciation to those risking their
lives to do whatever they can to minimise the affects of this
horrible disaster! ❤️ 🙏

As I no longer have a tv, and have not read a newspaper since
2014, I knew nothing about this. But I have just learned that
relatives of my French neighbour have lost their home,
fortunately without casualties, and she is on her way out there
to help.
An awful, terrible thing.

hi,
although natural disasters have been recorded since the dawn of
man, the frequency and severity of events in this century would
lead to the inevitable conclusion that climate change is a fact,
and anyone who tries to convince you otherwise is either deluded
or has a vested interest in fossil fuels.
although the human cost of these tragedies is often
quantifiable, and is rightly mourned, we should also take a
moment to reflect on the devastation to wildlife and their
habitat these catastrophes cause - it's heartbreaking [emoji45]
