Rubbish first 1/4 , hope he gets better. Allowing too many
niggles and two clear yellow cards missed , green light to kick
each other and when he runs out of patience he Will have been
totally inconsistent.

But FIFA will be delighted, he hasn’t waved a yellow piece of
plastic in the air, therefore he must be managing the game,
understanding what football wants, and making sure is not the
centre of attention.
Indeed why call them referees anymore, let’s call them ‘event
conductors’ as we don’t really want them passing any judgments
on these wonderful role models of players.
(Note: I haven’t seen the game so far, but that’s my best
summation of FIFA refereeing policy!)

Blimey didn’t come on here and expect to read these kinds of
reviews. I think he’s been bang on, has player trust and got the
balance about right.

Is he the most experienced and decorated VAR ever, so far? Is he
likely to be the most decorated VAR in history? I can’t see
anyone getting this amount of high-stake appointments, let alone
beat it.

I might have missed this throughout the whole tournament - have
they always had that deodorant advert on the underarms of the
jersey?

I think I’ve seen it once or twice, obviously not the most
noticeable but I’d imagine so.
