Impressive call from Beswick keeping his flag down for the Spain
chance early on.
Despite the BBC commentary team's thoughts, I think no penalty
for Ronaldo was correct too.
A good start!

Hope it goes well. Top referee and the best one from England to
be at this tournament.

Was a little bemused that they completely ignored the fact that
Ronaldo pushed the defender several times before being pulled!

I bet Taylor was as delighted as me he didn’t have to watch
another 30 minutes of that! If that was to be his final World
Cup game then it’s a great way to go. Excellent performance

Excellent performance.
Carded when needed
Let the teams play, low profile, wouldn't have known he was
there

Thought that was a really strong performance in his natural
style, which is not something that can be said for every referee
in this tournament. Good contribution to the goal by allowing
the quick free kick, issued cards near the end where needed and
kept the game under control throughout.
Our two ref teams are quite obviously near the top of the list,
so I hope they are both retained in case England fail to reach
the SF/Final..

I can only echo the above comments. Fantastic from Taylor,
Beswick and Nunn.
The English officials have definitely shown themselves to be
some of the best in the world throughout this competition. When
you compare their performances to to some of the other
official's performances, this should put to bed the "PL Referees
are the worst in the world" argument.

As close to flawless as you’ll get.
Both Taylor and Oliver showing again this World Cup they are
amongst the top few best in world.
England going out in qf and I’d give one/2 of them great shout
of being involved in semi/final in some capacity
