In the cauldron of the Azteca, Faghani has brought his A game to
proceedings.
Absolutely top class so far. Strong decision making, strong body
language and showing a good image. Using all his experience very
very well so far.

He absolutely nailed it. Without the yellow for Rice I imagine
it would have been a fair bit more difficult. His only mistake
was the free kick which led to Mexico’s goal!

Yeah I would’ve liked to have seen that foul again by Saka that
led to the Mexico goal. I wasn’t convinced in real time. The
only other error was missing a foul on Saka soon after but apart
from that, flawless.

Very easy intervention for VAR for SFP by Quansah.
Not overly surprised it was missed live but as I said earlier
this is why VAR is there.

Another correct VAR intervention. Surprised Faghani missed that
one. I thought that was penalty live.
