The issue with our head of FIFA is that there are enough
countries that have benefitted from money he has secured that
they would vote for him in a heartbeat. Ceferin at UEFA is
hardly a Saint so so you need to be careful what u wish for as
he would be the likely challenger
I saw a comment about how would Collina the ref talk to Collina
the administrator- basically implying as a ref he stood up and
made loads of big decisions without fear or favour (costing him
time suspended in Italy) but is now so determined to keep his
job he will remain quiet on the big issues, allowing his
referees to take the fall
Good on UEFA and CONMEBOL for speaking out

Boycott until changes are are made. Unfortunately as other
posters have said that FIFA are so corrupt they have got fingers
in many pies. And the administrators and leaders are so
unprincipled themselves

Unfortunately, I have a feeling the appeal will get nowhere, for

It is now being reported that the panel who made the decision
consisted of 1 person

There are 18 members on FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee, but the
unprecedented decision to lift Folarin Balogun’s automatic ban
was taken by just one person:
Chairman Mohammad Al Kamali of the UAE, acting alone and without
consulting the other 17 members.

Just for clarity - there are 2 clauses within the rules where
the chair can make the decision on their own without the whole
committee being involved so it is covered within the rules.
Whether or not the situation was manipulated to fit the criteria
is probably a whole other discussion!

I’ve tried a couple of times to write a possible reason he may
have suddenly taken such an unprecedented decision on his own
and what could possibly have inspired him to do it, but don’t
want my first post removal ….
