       Serie A/B: Promotions and departures

       As is customary, next season's lists of match officials for the
       various national levels of Italian football were published on 1
       July, and as is also customary five referees have been promoted
       to the Serie A/B list:
       Marco Di Loreto (Terni)
       Mattia Drigo (Portogruaro)
       Dario Madonia (Palermo)
       Edoardo Manedo Mazzoni (Prato)
       Alberto Poli (Verona)
       To make way for them five referees have the left the list:
       Rosario Abisso
       Ivano Pezzuto
       Marco Piccinini
       Federico Dionisi
       Luca Massimi
       The first three are victims of the rule stating that a referee
       leaves the list if they have served for ten years or more and
       have failed to finish in the top 25 of the merit table; the
       other two depart simply because of their position in the merit
       table.
