Not a referee I had seen before, I was impressed by Makhadmeh’s
displays in his first two matches, so pleased to see him on one
of England’s games.
Think he’s done well so far today too, nice to see yellow cards
awarded which has been a rarity this World Cup. Good no penalty
call for Kane too who made the most of that to say the least.

Clear penalty and if the ref thinks its a dive then kane has to
be booked, got it all wrong there

Fairly sure he indicated it was a dive so why didn't he give a
free kick and a YC to Kane? Also failed to punish a DR Congo
player clearly asking for a card to be issued.

What a superb spot to give a no penalty decision to Harry Kane
just before half time in real tine it looks a clear penalty but
replays proved the ref was 100% correct to turn it down I can
guarantee you most refs would have given a penalty in real time
and then it would he down to VAR and on that evidence I’m sure
it would be overturned but you never know
But he missed the YC for Kane as he indicated he dived so will
lose marks for that

I will fly in the face of English opinion around me - it's a
dive!! Feet come together, which is unnatural, going down before
any contact. Ref gave GK. I thought YC
He hasn't stood for Bellingham's petulance either.
I'm impressed

I’m okay with the decision of no penalty. But I’d have been
equally okay with a penalty being given. That situation was an
absolutely vintage Harry Kane situation. He has done that exact
thing multiple times throughout his career.
Where the referee has really shot himself in the foot is
insinuating it’s a dive. Once you do that, you HAVE to caution
and give an idfk.
If he just waved it away, he can just give a goal kick. But he’s
really messed himself up there.

I thought it was simulation live.
I didn’t see enough evidence to overturn.
Play on. Although he should’ve booked Kane.
