I’m astonished VAR hasn’t recommended a review for that high
boot leading to Wirtz scoring.
Clearly a very high bar for high feet has now been set.
Astonishing decision.

Really unsure of why that was not a free kick in real time, let
alone afterwards.
And, IMO, a clear case of over-appointing anyway.

Refs miss stuff, VAR’s shouldn’t. Nothing to do with over
appointing.

I really don’t understand the trend for advanced, central
positioning. So often needlessly in the way. Not just Penso and
not just this tournament.
