Does an announcement help anyone with the sound off?

You know what I meant. If it was a dogso (or literally anything
else) I wouldn’t need telling what they were checking. The
announcement is for fans in the stadium not people watching at
       home

"average" (as the Aussies would say). He went running to an
official to "dob him in". Almost like showing the imaginary
card, but 100% an act of Unsporting Behaviour. No-one likes the
       school snitch.

Also, does anyone find it odd that a player can be sent from the
field for saying something to an opponent that cannot be
determined and yet a player can tell a referee to "eff off" to
their face and nothing happens? I am not the world's best
lip-reader but there have been several occasions of the latter
happening in the Premier League with no action taken - mostly
because the referee's employers do not want any action taken.
It is inequatable at best and reminds us all of who poorly
football match officials are respected when compared with their
       colleagues in other sports.

According to The Guardian, a Paraguayan TV commentator has been
stripped of his press accreditation for the tournament following
offensive language he used about Infantino and Iván Barton after
the red card to Almirón in the Turkey match.
I would post a link but I haven’t the foggiest idea how to!

I think it’s interesting FIFA can take such draconian action
against a commentator (who has very genuinely and fully
apologised) perhaps rightfully so, yet have no teeth to deal
with players and managers treating referees with utter
       disrespect in every game.
I guess it’s fine to abuse match officials as long as you don’t
       mention Infantino?

A good job he didn’t mention Trump or he might have been put on
the next flight back to Paraguay!

It was a great announcement by Barton. I was at Wembley when I
couldn't hear a word of what Josh Smith was saying when sending
off Josh Dacres Cogley and giving Bolton a penalty so it does
make a difference if you're in the ground.
