Good overturn by VAR to allow USA 2nd goal.
Although, after the announcement there was another instance of
all substitutes and members of squad running on the pitch to
celebrate with the goalscorer.
Can we please stop this? Can we not caution them all like the
law says?

I thought that blocking by an attacker during a corner was one
of the new laws

Probably impractical to caution them all. But caution both the
captain and the manager. That should focus minds - especially
if either has already been booked!
We might then see coaches imploring the substitutes etc. NOT to
go onto the field. (Well a boy can dream, can’t he?!?).

If a sub crosses the line it should be judged they’ve played. So
no subs!

Yep that was probably the most ridiculous one aswell so far
seeing as it was a VAR decision. Curacao scoring, Qatar’s last
minute goal etc I totally understand but they’re the only
examples from this tournament that are understandable

IMO Zwayer and team have been excellent and contributed to
another decent match . A strong solid start by the UEFA refs so
far in the tournament

Looked to me like he pulled or tripped on his way to caution.
Hope he is ok as he’s had a really good game. Like Dave says,
UEFA refs are streets ahead from what I’ve seen.

Not one of my favourites, but thought he was excellent in this
game. Very sharp and not swayed by home team pressure. USA a
team to watch in terms of refereeing, as quite a bit of nonsense
- niggling, rolling around, exaggerating, pressuring referee,
etc. Will need strong officials, especially in later rounds if
they go far.

I thought he was really good in the first half. Less so in the
second where he was no better than average. Tricky game though
