       In FIFA, that’s a good spot and a good award of the PK.
       It’s one of those where some people of certain countries agree,
       and some don’t. Depends how handball is refereed in their
       country, such as English PL vs FIFA competitions. Seems to be a
       big difference.

       Overall, a good enough performance but with some issues on
       disciplinary sanctions.
       I’m torn on the penalty but I think it is, on balance, the right
       decision. The arm is slightly out and possibly comes up a little
       towards the ball. It’s certainly a supportable decision and
       wasn’t going to be overturned by VAR once given. I’m not sure it
       would have been given in the Premier League with the desire to
       see minimal handball awards.
       Decision making was generally good and moved around the field
       well.
       An incorrect Corner Kick award for South Africa which VAR
       quickly corrected.
       My major issue was the lack of cautions for clear offences:
       1) Pull back by Czechia #22 (78’)
       2) South Africa #4 waving an imaginary card (78’)
       3) Dissent by Czechia #10 for clear dissent by action -
       condescending wave of the hand in the face of the referee (89’)

       It felt like a weak refereeing performance in terms of expected
       sanctions and movement in some areas but, as a host country
       official, she will most likely be lauded.
