Pierre Atcho - Iraq vs. Norway

As no one else seems to have passed comment - will place views
here.
He seemed to police the conduct before the taking of corners
(even if there was nothing happening with holding at them) with
the zeal of an early 2010s Six Nations Referee enforcing scrum
protocols without actually doing anything about it - which led
to inordinate delays to the restart of play.
AR on the near side was inconsistent with blocks in the back.
Two similar incidents led to differing outcomes - free kick as
opposed to play on for the same exact offence.
His stance he took up to monitor corners was also weird.
Reminiscent of the Blackadder episode with the actors coaching
Prince George - meaning he was extremely static.
All in all - shouldn’t get a second fixture

I thought he was generally okay - and not helped by 2 poor ARs -
but as you mention his insistence on delaying every set piece
was frustrating (Haaland visibly very annoyed at one point).
His African counterpart Dahane Beida in the Austria-Jordan game
was much better even though he had 2 on field reviews.

The players were just laughing at him at corners, including the
two players he had randomly signalled out for holding when they
weren't actually doing anything. This is the problem with
preaching "management techniques" to referees, some will just
take it too far. Its like watching a lower level referee before
a corner who has obviously been told not to stand still, there's
not standing still and there's bouncing around like Zebedee, the
advice gets taken too literally.
