Officials awaiting an appointment

The following officials are awaiting an appointment at the
tournament! (Leaving Oliver and co on here as they technically
have been appointed but not actually officiated a game)
Will be updated everytime appointments are released.
Referees
None!
Assistant Referees
None!

I am currently making a series of spreadsheets detailing all
appointments from this tournament to bring together specific
statistics, as well as other tournament in the past.

Given that all 3 co-hosts are playing non European opposition in
their next games I think 3 of the "bigger" European named will
be used there, as it is still somewhat of an accolade to be
appointed to the hosts matches

List updated!
Some heavy artillery being kept ready and waiting, obviously not
Oliver’s fault but they could’ve changed their mind and be
saving him for bigger games!

Fischer from Canada and Benitez from Paraguay are awaiting their
first middles having done 4Os, so they, along with Eskas, Oliver
and Kovacs are the only ones there still missing a middle.
Bizarre that Claus, Herrera, Al-Ali and Ning haven't been given
4O appointments yet given they're there as support referees
apparently.

List updated following today's appointment.
Is it clear that Al Ali and Eskas are being saved for more
crunch fixtures towards the end of the group stages?
Fischer's second assistant is also still here, could he be being
saved for one as well?

Fischer and Eskas definitely need to get middles - they're both
there with 2 ARs. Al-Ali is less sure give he just has the one
ARs suggesting he's a support referee. But given Ning got an
appointment with one AR, I'd be surprised if Claus, Herrera and
Al-Ali don't get some form of low key appointment.

And then there was 1!
Drew Fischer/Canada's Lyes Arfa is the only official not to be
used so far!

only one doesn’t get a game.
