Referee - Sigurd Smehus Kringstad
He looked visibly upset upon blowing the final whistle.

Was nice to see players giving him a hug as well as each other
and when they formed the circle with both teams they also
included all of team ref as well which I liked - real unity.
Get well soon Christian Eriksen [emoji120]

I believe the heart monitors or things he would’ve had inserted
in and around his heart after his last incident may have saved
his life.
You can see on his way down he is grabbing the area around his
heart. This (is not confirmed however) is likely to be those
detecting and acting on a change in rhythm and pace of the
heart.
If this is true, I have a feeling this may have been his last
act within football as a player. I can’t see him continuing and
I am sure doctors and specialists will have the same view as
many, many other people and call for him to retire.
Like I said, none of what I said is 100% confirmed but is an
idea on what is likely to have happened.

I don’t understand the technicalities of an ICD (which he was
fitted with after the Denmark vs Finland game) but I think it
has to be said that when it happens twice, I believe there is
too great potential of a risk to his health if he was to keep
playing. For the sake of himself and his family and closest
friends, I think he should realise it’s time to step away from
the game.
It’s great to hear that he’s doing well though and I hope he
recovers well.
