hi,
very haphazard foul detection during the first half from DS,
also missed fabian ruiz tossing the ball away to stop quick
throw in [emoji17]
bizarre decision to indicate arsenal corner in the last seconds
of added time at the end of the half and then blow for half time
before kick was taken [emoji15]
all good so far regarding the score [emoji3]

He didn't miss the tossing the ball away. It was very early in
the game and he quite sensibly issued a stern 'cut that out now'
type of warning rather than issuing an early card in a final.
He also indicated quite clearly that he would have allowed the
Arsenal corner if they'd hurried up to take it.
And now he's correctly cautioned a player for taking too long
over a throw in after a few first half hurry ups.
Finally a referee who's aware of how long Arsenal take to get
the ball back into play and actively deals with it. A few PGMOL
refs could take note.

I personally thought it refreshing that he didn’t allow the
corner to be honest. He indicates after blowing that it was
taking to long. From the ball going out it 32 seconds for Saka
to pick the ball up let alone get it placed and deliver. Time
was up so he blew.
No penalty for handball against Saka was a good call but we have
seen those given in Europe plenty of times this season so could
have gone either way.
Early yellow card for delaying the restart in second half
coupled with the corner situation at the end of the first half
clearly indicates the Arsenal slowing tactics will not be
tolerated.

Agreed that I thought his decision to not allow the corner was
fantastic - just before then Arsenal had taken an age for a
throw in, passing it to three different players, and it was a
great way of illustrating the point. Same with the YC for time
wasting early in second half.
Think he's been great so far - hard to believe it's the same
referee who had such a rough time at 2022WC.

The time wasting has been incredible. Should have been a yellow
or 2 in fiest half for it.
Good decision to blow before corner. Enough is enough

Very surprised Mosquera isn’t in the changing room having an
early shower …should have been a second yellow for his challenge
on Kvaratskhelia for the penalty.

Why would it have been a second yellow? It wasn't reckless and,
whilst it was stopping a promising attack, it was an attempt to
play the ball so gets downgraded from yellow to no card under
the double jeopardy rules in the penalty area.
Siebert has been excellent so far.

Not a second yellow for me. Careless more than anything else.
Siebert has been nothing short of excellent. I loved the early
second half caution for the Arsenal defender, setting his stall
early on especially with plenty of warnings in the first half.
Along with blowing up for HT before the corner was taken - way
too much messing around, blow for half time. Excellent. Arsenal
didn’t deserve the corner in the time they took to take it.
