Michael Oliver - Tottenham vs Everton

Another technical equipment failure at the Tottenham Hotspur
Stadium. Not sure what it is about the stadium that the large
majority of them happen here. 3 counts of them here now if I
remember.
Oliver negotiated the first half very well indeed.

Very poor indeed with what’s at stake, affects the integrity of
the league games not kicking off simultaneously.
I thought Rohl should have been sent off for SFP personally,
Oliver read it horribly wrong awarding Everton the free kick.

It certainly wasn’t an Everton free kick but I don’t think it
was SFP based on other incidents this season. Yellow would’ve
sufficed imo.
Wasn’t the most difficult game in terms of incidents but the
pressure that was on the game, I think Oliver handled it really
well in my opinion. Scrappy and stop start but Oliver stayed out
of the limelight personally with nothing much to do.

Off topic of MO, but Tottenham’s win against Villa is the one
that’s saved them. What a huge win that was.

Wasn’t the usual high calibre offerings from Oliver,
particularly when it should have been a spurs free kick when
Rohl raked down a leg and yet Everton got the free kick.
Burt made a huge goof in giving a GK when it was clearly a
corner as well..
Other than that, nothing else really troublesome for Oliver this
afternoon.

Don’t think the Rohl was anything other than an unfortunate
collision made to look worse by slow mo trial. He plays the ball
as he’s challenged, I don’t see where else his foot can go.

Graham Scott having a few pops on Twitter towards Hawk-Eye,
calling the system unreliable and the whole thing a shambles!
I can see why, ever since they moved to the new tech it seems ro
be causing more and more issues.
Presuming it’s to do with Stadium Announcements that they’ve
needed new tech, although could they not take an MLS approach
and use a button on their waistband?

From the highlights he appeared to miss a clear push for a
penalty on an Everton player at the corner before half time. The
players were in the "impact zone" or whatever it is called.

Paul Tierney in VAR also said no pen. I can see why it could be
given.
