       Stuart Attwell Chelsea v Spurs

Only just turned on so cant comment on performance but that has
to be a penalty for foul bu Cucerella on that corner. The
holding was still happening after ball had been kicked. Another
huge error by VAR this time in relegation battle.
Again i haven't seen anything up to this point but Attwell looks
terribly flustered which in the past has been the sign of him
       being all over the place.

I think we need to hear/see when the ball eas kicked and whistle
was blown, one way or another holding offences in play can
continue into the box allow it to happen between the ball being
put in play and holding will stop

I rewound the sky box and to me, Richarlison’s on the ground
before you can hear the ball kicked. It’s very close and
       Cucurella is incredibly lucky.

No.22 from Spurs just pushed Attwell after he got in the way of
play. You cant shove an official. Should be a red card, even if
he was in the way. Disgusting.

And now Van de Ven tells him to flick off while looking at him
and standing right beside him and he does diddly squat about it.
Weak refereeing yet again on display.

It was the foul on Van Der Ven that Cucurella was YC’d for which
happened after Richarlison went to ground so the ball was in
       play

Premier league football like that is just unwatchable at the
       moment.

I might be the only one but I thought Attwell refereed it in an
aggressive manner , for most of the game he seemed to snarl at
       players and whistle furiously throughout

Just to add another variable to the mix: is the referee’s
whistle really the decisive moment in situations like this?
If I were refereeing an incident of this nature and decided I
needed to prevent the restart, there would inevitably be a brief
interval between making that decision and actually blowing the
whistle as I bring it to my mouth. In that context, if the
referee states that they recognised the issue before the ball
was back in play, that ought to be sufficient, regardless of any
forensic analysis comparing the exact moment the ball was kicked
with the precise instant the whistle sounded.
On a broader point, I have watched very little Premier League
football this season until the last few days, but the matches I
have seen this week have been badly affected by the amount of
time taken over corners and the level of grappling that goes on
before the ball is finally put back into play.
Two thoughts occur to me. Firstly, referees need to take a
firmer line on the wrestling before corners are taken. If a
referee feels the need to delay a corner in order to speak to
the offenders, then someone should be cautioned. That should
focus minds. Attempting to "manage" these situations is clearly
not working. Secondly, the new Laws intended to speed up
restarts apply to throw-ins and goal kicks, but not to corners.
That strikes me as an oversight. The less time players are
given to engage in this sort of behaviour, the quicker the game
can restart and the better the spectacle will be.

Something nobody has picked up on yet,the very deliberate
forearm smash by Delap, looked and watched where the defender
was before contact, although YC given this wasn’t an accidental
       leading with the arm
