Is there a black shirt, or has that tradition been binned as
well?

I know I’m from another age, but why do modern referees shirts
always have crew necks? Why no zip to be lowered when it’s hot
or done up when it’s cold/wet?

Goodness ! I thought initially I had inadvertently strayed onto
a quite different sort of site ! Can you imagine any of our SG1
referees looking good in such an outfit ? Well, that's a no then
and moving on.......

For anybody interested, here are all the kits that will be worn
in the group stages at the world cup. Black, yellow and green
seem to be the 3 most common, red (orange), blue and magenta not
so much.

You'd think with 6 or 7 kits to choose from, they'd be able to
avoid clashes. Match 4, USA GK in yellow, Paraguay GK in orange,
so the referee goes in yellow?! USA in red/white, Paraguay in
navy blue...why not put the referee in green? Or Lilac?
Likewise, match 6, the Turkiye GK is in blue as is the referee?
Lots more games where the referee and GK clash despite other
options open...
