Since FIFA introduced VAR in their quest to have the 'perfect
game of football' ===my opinion --not their stated opinion ----I
have yet to witness the 'perfect game' and I have watched a hell
of a lot of football at all levels since that fated day.
Anyone any idea when that 'perfect game' will take place? Asking
for a friend ---who is also waiting.

Don't underestimate AFCB. We're unbeaten in 16, best run in
Europe currently, a win or draw tomorrow guarantees us European
football for the first time in our history - less importantly in
our eyes it also hands you the title. UCL qualification still
possible. Last home game of the season under the lights and the
night where the majority of our fans will be saying goodbye to
the amazing Andoni Iraola and also Marco Senesi. We are so up
for the game!!
Oh and last time we played Man City at Dean Court in the league
we won 2-1 - first time in our history we ever managed that mind
but manage it we did so we know we can do it. They're the only
team who can do the double on us and we're not wanting that to
happen!

Everybody has also overlooked that Trossard got away without a
booking for a full on shove in the chest which sent the
opposition player to the ground early on.

That happened in the first 15 minutes everyone knows these days
anything short of murder is fine at that point

I'll be honest - I don't think the Havertz foul is quite as
horrific as everyone is making out. Had PT deemed it a red
on-field I don't think there could have been many complaints,
but equally I'm not convinced that the amount of force in the
tackle is sufficient for the VAR to say that the referee deeming
it reckless is clearly and obviously wrong.

Although the point of contact may be similar, Christie was
coming in at significantly more speed/force than this one.

I am starting to think sadly that some of these officials lately
got their badges in a cornflakes box! Awful stuff and there’s no
defending the incompetence.
Facts are Haverz should be suspended for the final game of the
season but instead could score the winner for Arsenal to win the
league.

I think it is hard to say that Mr Webb has improved things, but
the same could be said of his predecessors. Time for someone
from outwith the PGMOL club to take over. I’d go for someone
from rugby union where the seem to have a bit more idea about
applying technology and insist on players respecting the
referees.

Therein lies the problem PGMOL has been run by people within the
game Hackett , Riley Webb etc and very little progress has been
made under each of those to improve refereeing standards even
though being ex referees themselves you would have thought they
could improve the standard of officiating . The PGMOL needs to
be run independently and not bow to or let clubs or anyone else
run them
The game would be more enjoyable without VAR we have had it for
several years and it’s made the game worse and causes far to
much controversy nearly week and I think we can accept that we
have tried it to give referees the best chance to get nearly
everything right with the introduction of VAR but it’s not
worked and if we got rid of VAR we would accept human mistakes
if things are missed factor in that fans can’t really celebrate
a goal anymore until VAR checks and clears it , the time it
takes to come to the correct outcome after arguing multiple
replays despite it being obvious
I would go as far as saying far more decisions in real time were
more correct before the introduction of VAR , goes without
saying the odd human mistake will occur but VAR or more
specifically those who use it get far more wrong or don’t
intervene when they should

Unpopular opinion maybe? Make it like Rugby where we can hear
live communications from the VAR Team and the Referee?
Might not work as such in-stadium, but maybe on broadcast you
can turn a mode on or off with a button saying ‘VAR Feed’ or
something like that?
This would be identical to what the commentators get and
wouldn’t be the entire communications from the entire team.
