I get what you're saying but that doesn't apply here. You can
look at that as a still image, slow motion or real speed while
sitting at Shockley Park and its a red card, no matter what way
you look at it. Its a leg breaker.
They're too focused on small tugs on long hair rather than
traditional forceful SFP. The game is well and truly gone.

That’s my bad - I didn’t specify.
I was trying to talk about it in general - I 100% agree with
your view on this incident and that’s exactly my view too.

Utterly disgraceful from VAR.
Foden did a similar challenge on Bassey at the Etihad with
Tierney in the middle and that was only given as a yellow and
VAR said no to a red then too.
With all the shambles of yesterday at Old Trafford and the
subsequent noise around Howard Webb coming in, he’ll be busy
again trying to defend the indefensible.

Hopefully they use the training camp (if they go on one again)
and meetings to sweep up stuff like this.
It can only go downhill if it’s not addressed. An ideal world
would be 10 Tom Kirk’s running around every matchweek, because
it seems as the frontrunner for promotion he seems to be one of
the best performers in the Premier League this season..

This tackle was worse than the one Xavi Simons was sent off for
on Van Dijk.
Unfortunately PGMOL is not fit for purpose and VAR highlights
and exposes it.

I think calling the PGMO not fit for purpose is abit of an
overreaction.

At the current rate we might as well give all of SG2 a go. Some
performances from referees this season have been really poor and
not good enough for this level.
Bring the new blood in - Kirk, Hallam, L Smith, J Smith and a
few others. Shake it up a bit because some of these officials
aren’t refereeing well enough.

No doubt we will all do an end of season review at some point in
the next few days, but PGMOL is in an absolute mess, the amount
of mistakes is beyond anything I can ever remember. We may have
2 of the best referees in the world but after that theres not a
lot to smile about. Serious questions of Howard Webb need to be
asked now because VAR in particular is getting worse and worse.

One thing we can praise Howard Webb, the PGMO and Kevin Friend
for is the artillery they have in ‘reserve’ shall we say.
As TA said, we have people like Kitchen, Hallam, Lewis and Josh
Smith, Kirk, even people like Webb, Nield, Herczeg, Backhouse,
Donohue, and others in the Supp List waiting to pounce when
called on.
You could put money on a good few of them making it to the FIFA
List.
They certainly have built a monster of a group to swoop in as
current SG1 referees start to drop away.

it was down the other end i'd be fuming it wasn't given
