Thomas Parsons - Notts County vs Chesterfield (L2 Playoff 2nd

A referee who is seemingly highly rated being given a L2 Playoff
game and also had a couple of Championship games towards the end
of the domestic season.
I have to say, I think he’s had an excellent first 20 minutes. A
high bar for a foul has been set and he has stayed consistent
with that which is producing a good game to watch that is
flowing nicely. Also, good to see him talking to players and
explain his decisions rather than resorting to card waving.
Impressive so far.

Norburn was very fortunate not to receive a card of either
colour for a foul on Stirk. Foul wasn’t even given which was
poor and from the replay, a knee high challenge which could’ve
resulted in a red or yellow. I’d lean towards yellow more than
red.

Yeah commenters curse. 30 seconds after I posted, he missed what
for me is a red. Seemed pretty nasty.

Mostly a very good half that by Tom and team. A decent watch
too, both sides on the front foot even without cutting edge.
Definite missed yellow for Norburn, I don’t think there was
enough force to be worse. AR1’s made a couple of nice offside
decisions too.

Deary me! Once again, best wishes to Tom Parsons in his

A lot of comments here about decisions but above all, sad to see
Thomas go off injured in a game, which I am sure he would have
been hoping to get all season.
Hope it isn't too much of a serious injury and we can see him
for the first gameweek of next season!
