       Labour Leadership

       Apologies if not allowed admin, as I don't intend this thread to
       start a debate on the rights and wrongs of Reform vs Labour vs
       Tories vs Greens, and would appreciate if the thread is kept
       strictly on the topic at hand without stating ones opinions on
       the ability of any party or candidate at leading the country.
       The reason I post this is that it potentially links in to
       refereeing...
       I'm intrigued to see the popularity for Andy Burnham as a labour
       leadership candidate if Keir steps aside.
       Given his recent instance of berating a referee on twitter in
       spite of a correct decision being made, I'm intrigued as to
       whether this would be brought to question about the
       irresponsibility of it.
       Public figures berating referees is at best in bad taste and at
       worst could be deemed to contribute towards referee abuse at
       grass roots level which we all know is an evil that the game
       needs ridding of (albeit one it's ever likely to be rid of).
       The tweet/s in question probably gained Mr Burnham a fair bit of
       popularity from the general public, but my personal opinion is
       that they're extremely irresponsible for a man in public office
       and either display naivity or lack of regard as to the
       consequences.
       He may be a great leader of the country if given the chance, but
       I would love to see him questioned on it, and I wonder if other
       people feel the same?

       He is taking a huge risk..reform will throw everything at the
       by-election
       Then he has to get the required number of MPs
       Then he had to get the vote of the Labour Party
       And then he can lead his party and the country
       Going to look pretty bad if at any stage he trips up
