I wholeheartedly agree with this post. This decision would have
HUGE consequences not only for both sides, but Spurs and the
others at the bottom, and Man City too.
It had to be looked at with a microscope. There would have been
absolute hell on earth had something like that taken a minuscule
period of time to look at and form a conclusion on.
I appreciate that sometimes VAR takes too long, but there was so
much going on in the box it has to take time to be thorough.
Darren England would be very familiar with rushing a decision
and making a total hash of it, and the consequences of that, as
we all remember well at Spurs. The fallout from that was very
ferocious.

Pity were oblivious to the Arsenal players fouling in the
penalty area seconds before Raya was supposedly fouled.

There was an ever clearer foul by Trossard who had Todibo in a
bear hug the entire time and doesn’t look at the ball once.
If you think it is a foul on Raya, there are a couple of much
clearer fouls on the attackers.

Unfortunately var couldnt see the wood for the trees.
They should have seen all the grappling and holding by defenders
if it took them 5 mins to make a decision.
Its not the first time England has missed important aspects when
making a decision on var

No it doesn’t
This is NOT what VAR was brugbt in for. This is going down the
route of re-refereeing incidents.
VAR was brought in for Clear & Obvious. Given the time it took
England & Kavanagh to look at it, it is neither.

I could be chatting absolute rubbish here but was this foul not
similar to the foul from Saliba on Bayindir in the first game of
the season that didn’t get given?

Look, some of us are going to have to agree to disagree on this
incident and that’s fine. I respect everyone’s opinion on here.
Regarding fouls on attackers, I said it on Monday night after
the Everton City game. Things like that haven’t been given ALL
season and they can’t start giving them now. It’s too late to
change that. I do hope it changes next season though because it
has to.
Onto Kavanagh’s performance, I felt he had a very good game and
he kept it under control well. All the cautions were justified
and was mostly consistent on what he gave.

Similar instance in Arsenal v Aston Villa.
On todays overturn i would say
I feel that Kavanagh was not very comfortable in over turning
his on field decision by his facial expression and having to
look at it 10 times.
