I think Mr Ward has had a good game. I personally like his style
of refereeing.

I would mostly agree. He’s let a lot of contact go which for the
most part he’s been pretty consistent with but he has also given
a few soft ones.
Correct decision for me to disallow Millwall goal. A clear shirt
pull on the defender which prevents him from playing the ball.

Strong refereeing from Mr Ward to make the Hull player take the
free kick from the correct place.

I’m not his biggest fan but I thought he had a good game.

Don Goodman really does talk absolute drivel.
He’s screaming out that the goal should have been given, that
Millwall have been unfortunate, then eventually sees the shirt
pull on the replay and back tracks.
I thought Ward was excellent tonight, and yes I’m not one of his
biggest admirers, but credit where credit is due.
I’m off to eat some humble pie before the night is out.

To be fair to Goodman, the last replay from behind the goal
nails it.
Great spot by Ward who had a very impressive game.
I will have a slice of that pie too.

So I am conflicted because as well as being a former colleague
and (hopefully) still friend of Gavin; I am also a lifelong
Millwall fan.
He had a very good game and was consistent in what he did / did
not let go.
On the goal, I can see why he disallowed it, but they were both
holding and - given a different view - he could have easily
called it "as six and two threes", but - despite by bias - I can
have no (justifiable) complaints.
