"Pullin always sticks in my memory because I saw him do Arsenal
4, Man Utd 5 at Highbury the week before Munich, the last time
some of those lads played in England. I was only 7 so can't say
I have any great recall of his performance."
I can't find a programme on line to identify the linesmen
The officials were all the P's -
       Gilbert Wilfred Pullin, Bristol 1915-91
Frank George Perkins, Handsworth, Birmingham 1921-2017
       Cyril Raymond Poulter, Hove 1920-88

My grandfather was a referee, I'm assuming between the wars. He
was from Chesterfield, Harry Eyre, born 1892. He was in the army
until 1919. His dad William Henry Eyre was Vice President of
Chesterfield in 1899 when they were admitted to the Football
League. How can I find out more details of the games he was
involved in? My uncle said he ran the line in an FA cup semi
       final.
Any database links or any old records would be a great help.

       Harry Oswald Eyre
       27.04.1892 - 16.05.1973
       Chesterfield
A Harry Eyre was playing for Clay Cross Zingari in 1920-21 and
Tupton United in 1921-22 and winning a fancy dress competition
with Maggie Eyre (a relation?) at the former club in 1922-23
He features as a referee in local Derbyshire football 1929-30 to
1933-34 but was not on the Football League list. He did run a
line in an F.A. Cup tie on 10th January 1931, in the third
round, Notts County 3, Swansea Town 1.
