Was a stonewall penalty for me. And PGMOL's own guidance backs
that up.
But as TA_Ref says, they tend not to punish......annoyingly

That's not quite true. Whilst it is a consideration, there are
others which would allow the referee to penalise, regardless of
whether its impactful to play e.g. hold with both arms, not
looking at the ball, sustained (see attached)

This is quite a disappointing sight if I’m being honest.
I know I bring things like this up a lot but to me this is just
not right even though I realise this is the current culture
towards our referees.

I don’t think booing them is the end of the world. They’ll be
more than used to it, and I think this is pretty tame.
Personal attacks, questioning integrity and threats of violence
are where the line is crossed.

I refer you to a recent incident with Haarland where the
decision was largeluy upheld on the grounds Clattenburg is
citing. I think Silva has probably learnt from that. .
