Man U v Liverpool. Ref Darren England, VAR Stuart Atwell
   DIR By: Marvin Grapevine

I don’t quite believe what I have just seen a the ball
accidentally hits Sesko’s hand when on the way into the net. The
deflection is very clear when watched at full speed / semi slow
       motion.
Yet somehow the VAR has allowed the goal to stand.
What are we doing here? It has to be disallowed despite being
       completely accidental.

Absolutely shocking from Attwell but not surprising. A terrible
       official

I support Liverpool and I couldn't make up my mind as to whether
it did or not, so goal has to stand. Camera showed Attwell
examine it very closely to be fair.
Konate should've had a foul given against him when Sesko ended
       up down the ditch.

Just seen it, how has that been allowed to stand you can clearly
       see it hit the hand

I agree that it was very hard to tell, and Attwell was certainly
having a very close look. They would 100% of disallowed it if
there was enough evidence, but there was clearly not enough
       conclusive evidence so goal stands.
I also agree that Sesko should have been given a free kick for
       that foul by Konate.

I think hes been poor so far. I might as well flip a coin to
guess what hes going to give every time theres upper body
contact. It genuinely feels so inconsistent and random.

Unless the ball has somehow rewritten the laws of physics to
alter trajectory on its own, what else has caused it to change
       while going past Sesko’s hand?!
The change is trajectory is very obvious.

Having watched the replay and in very slow motion. I don’t
believe anyone can say 100% it touched his hand. So no overrule
       has to be correct

On the Sky zoomed in replay you can see his fingers get bent
       back by the ball!

In that case, why did they disallow a goal scored by Ashley
Barnes for Burnley a few weeks ago against Brentford in the last
minute, thus giving Brentford a win, when it took them 6 minutes
to decide that the ball had brushed his hand when it hit him on
the hip. I have my thoughts on this decision and quite a number
of others this season made by VAR, however, I shall keep them to
       myself.
