John Brooks: Portsmouth v Birmingham

Only seen the highlights, but there was nearly a re-run of the
famous Leeds v Villa (Attwell) incident of goal being scored
when given back following an injured player going down
Ball thrown back to the Birmingham defence, who seem to just
leave it. Pompey player runs through and nearly scores, then
pushing/shoving start.
Not entirley sure why the Pompey player gets booked though?
Incident from 2mins onwards on the video.

Segecic doesn’t do anything wrong. Why does the Birmingham
player leave the ball? He’s got loads of time to either bring it
down and play or if he wants the keeper to have it just pass it
back

What I will never understand is why players feel they have to
put their hands on their opponents to calm things down. If
they're going to touch anyone, then drag their own players away.
IFAB are messing about with VAR and moving the line for offside
(the same margins still exist), but they should be mandating
that referees bang out red cards for this nonsense (and I'm a
BCFC fan!).

Don't understand why Beadle (Birmingham GK) doesn't get booked
for charging at Segecic. Brooks does the obvious yellow for each
and yellow for both managers, for I presume 'not managing their
players', but why hasn't the GK been cautioned for charging down
our player?

Whatever the rights and wrongs of it all, it’s very silly
behaviour from both sets of players scrapping like spoilt kids.
I hope both sides get charged by the FA following that brawl.
Clearly more should have been on Brooks’s yellow card as well.
