Highly doubt they’d give them the Championship VAR gig, purely
based on occasion and experience. If it was more open, they
would definitely be on it.

This is well put, I was going to predict a lot of what you said
but Bartlett and Lehane have a Wembley final already so can’t
see them getting another one but defo deserve it.
I would rather see Backhouse get it over L Smith just based on
what I’ve read and seen.
Maybe W Smith would replace Greenhalgh but not sure

No surprise to see Gillett with the final after he missed out in
the EFL final.

Great appointment for Jarred, weeks before he goes out to the
states for the World Cup!
Hattrick for Steve, 3 Wembley finals in one season!

Bartlett's incompetence in the playoffs semi final played a part
in costing Stockport promotion last season. I should hope he is
nowhere near a playoff final.

Oh I’m so pleased for Josh. Hopefully thats a look towards a
promotion to SG1. A referee who’s been riddled with injuries at
times and been so close to SG1 and now picks up a game that
often implies a possible promotion.
A good 4O appointment for Backhouse too. A good season rewarded
with a trip to Wembley.
Hope everyone has a good performance on the day.

EFL following UEFAs lead and appointing one of the SF refs - I
rate Josh and wish him (and his team) every success

Really happy with this appointment for the league one play off
final. Josh deserves it so much and so does the rest of the
team. Also happy I called Backhouse getting 4th official.
