Unfortunately not a good start to the officiating in the
playoffs - James Oldham by all accounts and from both sets of
fans, had a poor game last night - and already tonight, Kirsty
Dowle (possibly with AR assistance) has incorrectly ruled out a
Boreham Wood goal for a defender and goalkeeper colliding.

Dowle looks to be struggling. Terrible decision to rule out the
Boreham Wood goal.. she clearly doesn’t know what happened and
made an educated guess. Can’t see how there is any AR assistance
as the whistle is blown almost instantly.
Less than 5 mins later and a Boreham Wood player goes down
claiming he’s been hit in the face, she calls the two captains
in but neither are listening, tries to clamp down but eventually
gives up and leaves them to it.

Ah thanks, I was watching with sound off.
Pretty pathetic from the BW that went down, good that Kirsty and
team didn’t fall for it but agree I would like to have seen her
make an example of it to get the players to stop playacting.

A bit of a trek to Spotland for the two assistants and fourth
official.

To describe James Oldham's performance as "poor" would be a
major understatement.

Only if she is the best available official for the importance of
the fixture…..having seen the incidents and others not mentioned
I would guess that this was not the case.
