Huesca vs Zaragoza (Spanish 2nd Div) - Lifetime ban incoming?

Wow, I am quite speechless. In Spain’s 2nd Division, equivalent
to the EFL Championship, this keeper committed one of the most
violent acts of violent conduct I have ever seen. He had already
received a Red Card for Violent Conduct, as shown in the first
few seconds, then decided to go and punch an opposition player,
and it certainly wasn’t a light tap on the back.

I highly doubt he will play football again for a while, if ever.
What are your thoughts on this?

The keeper has come out and done an interview. My spanish
A-level is not much use anymore but from what I gather he’s said
he’s very ashamed, it’s out of character for him as he’s only
ever been sent off for handball previously and will accept the
consequences.
You’d be thinking a 6 month ban at least but who knows

It certainly won't be a lifetime ban, I suspect in the region of
10 games / 2 months. He's on loan from a Mexican club anyway so
unless they apply to have any suspension extended to worldwide
he won't miss much football.

My guess wasn't far off, it was never going to be much more than
that. Go any higher and they start claiming restriction of
trade and get a court to overturn it. And realistically it will
only be 5 games as I doubt they will request it is extended
worldwide.
Reading the article, the statement from RFEF said they have
sanctioned it with the maximum possible punishment for that
offence, so if their rules state that violent conduct can't be
more than 12 games (plus one for the sending off) they obviously
can't go any higher. If that was at grass roots in England it
would be a minimum 140 days and a maximum 5 years, but we all
know that if a Premier League or Championship player got that it
wouldn't be as long as 140 days, let alone 5 years.

Has the victim reported it to the police?
