A dreadful decision that lead to Palace’s goal. Young Woodman in
goal (who was excellent today incidentally) was clearly injured
as he made a save and signalled he was. The ball broke to a
Palace player about 25 yards out who lobbed it into an empty
net. A few minutes earlier a Palace player on the edge of
Liverpool’s penalty area went down, not seriously injured or a
head injury, as Liverpool were about to mount a counter attack
and the Referee stopped the game. Totally inconsistent and poor
refereeing in my opinion.
Otherwise his foul detection was a bit erratic in a game that
should have been easy to referee.

I’ve only seen highlights, but the main thing I didn’t like was
the VAR announcement. His announcement was that ‘Crystal Palace
Number 11 gets a touch on the ball,; I agree that I don’t think
it was a foul, however, this explanation gives people the idea
that ‘getting the ball’ means it can’t be a foul.
The comms has got better, but there is so much room for
improvement.
