It’s a sad state when we only have 2 “top” refs and everyone
agrees who they are….why are the others not pushing on? Why are
we seeing so many injuries? A good end of season review
       required.

In my opinion, some referees have pushed on this year. Two I’d
pick out are Peter Bankes and Tom Bramall who I think have had
very good seasons. If Tony Harrington didn’t get injured, then I
think he’d have had some decent games as well.
But for the rest of them, there has been a large amount of
inconsistency this season and quite a lot of them haven’t
officiated to their highest level. The number of injuries is a
concern though. I wonder if we will see several promotions from
SG2 to help spread the workload a bit more. Hallam, Kirk almost
definitely coming to SG1 and I’d like to see Lewis Smith in
       there too.

Putting my head above the parapet here with the tin hat already
       on.........
Would it not be a good idea to utilise Bobby Madley in the
       Premier League ?
Its not like he hasn't been there before and his experience
would help both the PL itself and ease the pressure on others.
       JUST A THOUGHT !!!!

It’s not a bad idea and he might’ve been used a couple of times
but he’s been out with what I presume was injury since November
and only returned early April. But I wouldn’t be against seeing
him in the PL using his experience.

Had he been injury free and performing to his best?Yes
Is he a safer bet than others? Probably
Is he a step backwards? Yes

Agree totally re Oliver at the Cottage pity he is unlikely to be
       in his purple shirt.
Blue or Black would be acceptable though.
I wonder if either Oliver or Taylor will get the first leg on
champions league semi on tues night ?

I personally feely Oliver, Taylor, Kavanagh, Pawson, Brooks,
Gillett and Banks can be trusted with any premier league game
(when available). And the appointing powers should be more
liberal in spreading around the top games among that group at a
       minimum.

this season bankes has been superb but unfortunately some sort
       of injury atm.
Harrington I really like but awful luck with injuries.
Kav has done well 95% of time and deserving of his promotion to
elite, gillett been good majority of season and bramall having
       good season.
But Taylor and Oliver still our 2 refs going to the World Cup
and Oliver one of favourites for champions league final
depending on teams involved.depth is better this season than
       bwfore Webb took over anywya

It appears, agree or not, that the action he took, or didn't
complies with the guidance (instructions) in the PGMOL handbook
Not how I was taught to Referee an incident like this but, I
guess that's progress for the product?
