That supporter who shouted that must have had plenty of viewings
of how Kettle destroyed matches in the past!

Agree totally. I am all for keeping the game on the move, but,
particularly in the first half, Zac never seemed to have the
control which is sometimes needed as well. And how the penalty
was not given in the second half, I simply do not know. 1-2
could have been interesting, particularly as Crewe are known for
their late flourishes, but, as it was, the goal they did get at
0-3 was too little, too late. The better team won and I wish
them well in L1 which is surely where they'll be next season. I
remembered belatedly that I had seen Trevor in action at Gresty
Road and he had a good game, pity his son could not have
       produced something similar today.

Correct non-award for me. There is a minor hold which does not
impact the attackers movement who feels it and goes to ground.
The fall is not close to being consequential of the contact.
       [/quote]
I would like to see this again on the ITV highlights. I don't
think there was any holding, just a barge in the back which
grounded the Crewe player as he moved in on goal, and if that
barge was not sufficient to justify a penalty, then I would
seriously ask what does constitute sufficient contact?

Barnsley FC (First Team) v Bradford City FC (First Team)
       Live on SkySports+
       Football League 1
       Referee: Breakspear, Charles
       Assistant Referee: Bickle, Oliver
       Assistant Referee: Cavanagh, William
       Fourth Official: Miller, Andrew
One of the best displays of the season for me from Breakspear.
The red card can be argued, but I think it was right. Maybe it
doesn’t endanger the opponent but it was a lunge with excessive
force. His position was excellent too and Hourihane accepted the
       decision which says a lot.
Both sides had a penalty claim, Barnsley’s stronger than ours.
Cleary was cautioned for simulation, which is what I called in
the ground but looking back it does appear there was some
contact so maybe a bit unlucky for them. All other cautions were
       correct.
Shame about AR2 Will Cavanagh who we have had a few times now
and looks out of his depth, and an even bigger shame that we
didn’t wrap up our playoff spot today!! Thankfully Exeter’s
       goalkeeper helped us out😯

If we’re watching the same thing, there’s no barge in the back.
There’s a very minor hold and arguably a tangle of legs which is
initiated when the attacker leaves his leg hanging behind him.

That match is going to need a seriously big hitter, its winner
       takes all.
I wouldn’t rule out Hallam getting that match…

I’ve just seen the Crewe penalty shout and have to agree with
Ryan it’s definitely a pen and a red card. Even if the initial
challenge isn’t a foul (it is) the slide challenge from Ekpiteta
       is out of control
