I know there was concern from City fans, when Mr Taylor was
first appointed to their games, but after one or two issues
early in his top flight career, generally he's viewed as a safe
       pair of hands.
Maybe it will come back to bite me, but think I would prefer the
firm grip rather than more relaxed approach today.

I’d imagine Lewis is shattered after refereeing at Blackburn
       last night!

I understand that the injury crisis is at an unprecedented level
now but we still really shouldn’t be appointing a referee to a
middle and then a 4O the next day. It just heightens the
       possibility of more injuries.

With tonight’s performance, we could be without 2 officials in
big roles this weekend, and with the FA Cup Semi-Finals
requiring a maximum of 7 SG1 Officials each (unlikely because
I’d imagine a non-SG1 VAR such as Bell and/or Howard will be
used, also dependant on if SVAR is in operation), they will be
       at full stretch this weekend.

Wilkes replaced by Eddie Smart tonight which raises severe
questions over his FA CUP semi final appointment.
Aspinall also seems to have had another setback and is replaced
       by Greenhalgh at Dean Court.
