I don’t think James Mainwaring is allowed to be on games
involving a Manchester team and as Adam Nunn was replaced by
Blake Antrobus on Saturday at Anfield, I’d assume he has an
injury.

Big risk having Robinson (mostly injured out of form) and a
young inexperienced Kirk on key games at the bottom; good luck
to them both

Good to see Graham Scott and Altrincham’s Chairman coming to
Taylor’s defence because still all these years later people are
still getting annoyed because Taylor is appointed a game with
one of the Manchester clubs! I’ll let you guess which set of
fans are annoyed! 🙄
Scott came out to say it is a genuine support of Altrincham, not
convenient. Altrincham’s chairman said how he still buys a
season ticket to support the club despite not being able to
attend many matches.

I may get a few dislikes for my reasoning but I agree with you.
In no way am I disrespecting the capabilities of Tom Kirk as a
referee because he’s an excellent one at that but I think it’s
brave to appoint a SG2 official to a game which has a lot of
meaning to the home team. We know what fanbases are like, if
Kirk gets a couple of incidents wrong or has a generally poor
performance then the whole reaction will be ridiculously over
the top and people will be saying ‘he’s been dropped to the
championship again’. In my opinion, we are at a time of the
season where still so much is to be decided and I think SG1
officials should be taking charge of the games that matter most.

Also Kavanagh with Liverpool for the SEVENTH TIME. Over 20% of
Liverpool's PL games have been refereed by him. I know 3 refs
cannot do them and there's been a lot of injuries but that is
absolutely ridiculous for 1 team in 1 season
On the other end of the scale, Pawson with Chelsea for the first
time!

Madley, Kirk, Hallam, Lewis Smith and Webb the obvious
candidates.
In all seriousness, I don’t recall an injury crisis like this
one in SG1 occurring for a very long time, if at all.

I think Kirk, Hallam and Kitchen would be the first to get a
game in my opinion. Closely followed by both of the Smith’s,
then Webb/Madley.

Let’s hope Tierney has a good game like he did at Old Trafford.
He was terrible when we had him last so things can only get
better!
