Correct decision to give a penalty for hands against
Bournemouth. Unnatural position for the defender.
Standard fare from Oliver so far.

It's the sort of decision which usually gets given, but Christie
is unlucky in that the ball is blasted at him at point blank
range, and he has no chance to move his arm out of the way. You
say "unnatural" but given his body movement, I'm not convinced
       it was.
#Also not convinced it would have been given had it been in the
       Arsenal penalty area, however.

       hi,
thought the penalty decision was a little harsh based on the
defenders proximity to the attacker who kicked the ball
[emoji15] but who am i to argue [emoji3]
a really lively and open game which is refreshing to see, but i
just wish the arsenal manager would be a little bit more
       attacking minded [emoji16]
       regards,
       gnr

Why’s that? Because Michael Oliver would never upset Arsenal?

       hi,
congratulations bournemouth - by far the better team [emoji122]
arteta can have nothing to complain about from a refereeing
point of view as MO was up to his usual standard [emoji106]
...but from the team selection, motivation and tactics aspect -
well that's a whole different ball game [emoji37]

Michael Oliver has upset Arsenal a few times in the past whether
justified or not. As to the penalty award, it was good to see
him wait a second or two before pointing to the spot. With the
ambiguity of handball these days, better for an extra moment to
properly assess what you saw than react too quickly. Even then,
on many occasions, it's going to be open to debate. With foul
challenges, Oliver normally is very prompt with a penalty or no
       penalty decision.
Well done Bournemouth. Thoroughly deserved the win.

I'm in my 9th season of watching Bournemouth in the PL, and seen
too many decent penalty shouts for Bournemouth being denied. At
one point we went the best part of 2 seasons without being
       awarded a penalty.
Relatively straightforward game for MO today, some soft
decisions either way but you'll always get those. Cant argue
about any of the cautions, which came in a bit of a cluster and
probably stopped the game getting too tetchy.
