As mentioned before from our esteemed fellow cricketing
observers, the season starting this early to accommodate the
trash that is the 15.4 over game defies belief. I wonder if a
first class cricket match has been delayed by a frozen pitch
before!
Call me old fashioned, but first class cricket over the four
days is the true version of the sport. I can accept the 50 over
game as a good variant, and I can just about tolerate the t20
fits and giggles stuff which is there for pure enjoyment on
concrete roads.
It’s a real shame the historical nature of this sport has
evolved into what it is today.

15.4 overs?? Is that the Ninety-Four? (Sorry - couldn't
resist)
Snow famously stopped play in June in the 1970's - I suspect the
late Dickie Bird was officiating.

Oh yeah it’s 16.4 isn’t it!
Just shows how much I admire and like that competition 😂
