Letexier - Barcelona v Newcastle

I realise it was a miserable enough night for Newcastle, however
I don't understand why Trippier wasn't sent off at the penalty?

Me too if I’m being honest - I thought it was going to be a red
card once he went to the monitor. I can only assume they didn’t
think Raphinha was definitely going to get on the end of the
cross so they went with yellow because the opportunity wasn’t
obvious.
For me personally, it was DOGSO with no deliberate attempt to
play the ball so it would’ve been a red card in my opinion. I
recall Athletic Club going down to 10 men against Man Utd in the
semi final of the Europa league last season for a similar
incident.

Letexier not at his best tonight. Somehow joelinton again
escaped serious punishment, lots of iffy free kicks for soft
fouls. The Barca penalty I’m not sure about but there was a
similar incident/shout waved away but quite similar

The pull back on Elanga’s shoulder surely deserved a review at
the monitor? I see Barca have had four penalties in their last
three games!!

If an English team not in final, thibk oliver had brilliant
chance of ucl final.
Letexier not in his best form and a lot of years to go.
Zwayer has had a very poor season.
Makkelie is performing well but don’t think uefa like him too
much
