Yes, I'm wondering. I shall be there and will keep a close watch

Tears of joy?
No need to sweep his car park space ready though!

Why do you and TheThingFromLewes constantly always post the same
pointless things virtually every week when appointments are
released when it comes to Bournemouth and how many times East,
Friend, Hooper are down there, pointless statistics about Friend
particularly and how he’s so disliked because he probably made 1
throw in decision wrong in all the games he’s ever refereed
there, same old boring thing about that car park space for
East... I could go on!
It’s nothing personal but no one cares, maybe just keep saying
the same things to each other in a private conversation? Just a
suggestion.

You've obviously never seen Friend at AFCB then. Wish a wrong
throw in was the only thing he does ever get wrong. I see him
referee elsewhere & see the decent safe pair of hands that he is
but ever since he collapsed in the tech area at Dean Court he
has been dreadful in every game. Not just for AFCB but for both
teams, his decision making is dreadful & is a complete contrast
to when you see him anywhere else. There is a significant
difference in his game to the point where you could actually
think there are 2 referees called Kevin Friend, the contrast is
so huge. Personally I think it is psychological, as I have said
before. The ground holds a bad memory for him and he seems to
fall apart on every visit. I'm sure it is in his mind,
consciously or not, that he has a fear of being taken so ill so
suddenly again and it affects his performances very negatively.
He's hated because we never see a good game from him, not
because of a singular decision, you know the decisions will be
random, the performance inconsistent and error strewn etc. He
was never that way before he collapsed and was fairly well liked
or at least not disliked. I would love for him to get over
whatever it is that causes such a huge change in him, his whole
demeanour, his inconsistency and get back to being the ref he
once was at our ground, he still has it in him as he shows
everywhere else!
Hooper is well liked, he's almost a local & we see the best of
him, Dean Court is a ground he relaxes at and referees well. We
like getting him there. The Roger East car park space has been a
long standing joke for many years, you've just not been around
long enough to appreciate it! Useless stat, in your opinion or
not, it's not good when any referee sees a team more during a
season than season ticket holders do!

Only because I haven’t posted much on this new site, doesn’t
mean I don’t read much. For your information, I have been a
regular visitor and contributor to all the Rate The Ref sites
going back about 16 years.
The reason why I posted what I did is because myself and others
have been told off by the administrators on many occasions in
the past for either inappropriate or unrelated posts, and I
think there is some hypocrisy here hence why I made my point.

Then you should be aware of such jokes in the first place if you
read the forums on a regular basis.
I’ve always found the admin staff fair and reasonable, and if
any issues have been reported then, as you suggested, they have
been done via PM.
The admin team also have to keep an eye on things incase anyone
steps over the line for legal reasons. That’s a hell of a task.

Can we assume that his appointment as replacement means Hopton
