Mike Dean - Man City v Leicester

Absolutely superb first half from Dean in my view. I am a City
fan so I carry a certain amount of bias, but the two incidents I
was jumping off the sofa for (Evans handball around 20 mins and
foul on Sterling in top left corner around 25 mins), he got
absolutely spot on, from a great position. Cautions for both
Silva and Kompany dead right (in fact, Kompany's tackle was
potentially more an "orange") and I would suggest both need to
be very careful second half - it appears frustration is setting
in, and Silva has already had a nibble as Madison since his
caution.
Hoping for a far better second half from City, but no step up
required from the officials based on the first half.

As per usual the card shark on top form tonight as he has been
for the whole season praying that this isn’t the last time we
seem him on tv

Two fine performances from 2 Michael's this weekend. Oliver and
now Mike Dean.
Thought he got all the penalty claims correct. Slightly
surprised only 3 minutes added time given the subs. and time
wasting, but he did extend it beyond the minimum 3.
I agree that overall he's had a very good season.

Excellent performance as per usual from Mr Dean
Still the guy I would want for such a high profile fixture

Superb performance from Mike Dean, got everything right in a
difficult game in a hostile atmosphere.

Good performance as others have said but not so sure about his
timekeeping. He made quite a thing about time wasting in the
first half with a demonstrative lecture for Schmeichal but then
only added on one minute. In the second half, he picked up on
Man City doing the same with a lot of pointing to his watch but
then only added on three minutes despite several substitutions
and quite a lengthy goal celebration. I suppose with both sides
guilty it evened itself up but I think many people would like to
see it dealt with more firmly.

Sorry to all the Mike Dean supporters but having just watched
match of the day Silva should have had a second yellow card for
his foul on Maddison.
Obvious caution and I bet he’d have cautioned any other player

99% of refs would've done the same thing in his position.

Just a foul in my opinion.

I think that coming up with more ways of tacking timewasting
will be the next 'big thing' for IFAB - I reckon we will see
some kind of independent timekeeper/stadium clock/change to
playing time within the next 5 years or so.

I thought that Mike Dean had a very good game tonight. There
were a few questions about the appointment beforehand but you
could see why they wanted him on it because he 's still one of
the very best. I just hope that he (and Martin Atkinson) don't
stop at the end of this current season because they've been
amongst the best officials.
