I think this performance from Busby may be slightly better than
when we played Preston (H) but still not a good standard.
As much as I am an Ipswich fan, I hope McKenna gets suspended
because that was ridiculous. I saw Busby being physically pulled
by several Pitch Protection Security members and that is unheard
       of at Ipswich.
       [/quote]
Why do you hope McKenna gets suspended? At the end of the match
the first thing he did was shake hands with the Leicester
management team. Then unusually he approached the referee.
McKenna rarely approaches referees at the whistle but did so on
this occasion and says Busby pulled him to one side to outline
       his position on the incident.
“He was pulling me over for a chat on the side just to get away
from the bodies,” the Blues manager continued. “There was no
aggression between myself and the referee on that.
“Of course, there was frustration, but we pulled away from the
bodies because there were a lot of people around and he
explained that he didn’t see the incident. That’s all that was.”
If anyone should be suspended from their job, it is whoever made
the ridiculous decision to send him back to Portman Road so soon
after an absolutely appalling performance such a short while
       ago.

Here is a screenshot of Busby’s escort.
To put it into perspective, all referees get 1-2 security
officers escorting them as a regular procedure.

Surely better to have too much security than too little. In over
50 years attending Portman Road, I've never seen the crowd so
       angry with a referee.

I 100% agree with your last paragraph.
My reasoning was he put the referee in a distressing and awful
position where they needed to be dragged out and freed by
security in order to walk away.
When the penalty incident happened, I saw him get a yellow card
for encroaching onto the pitch to protest his decision. I do
agree with the yellow, however I am a tad surprised he wasn’t
shown a second during those final scenes as from the videos and
from someone who was in the stadium, it looked very tense.

I hear and understand what has been said about McKenna, however,
whatever was said or not said, I don't think it was very tactful
for McKenna to be going on the pitch in these circumstances.
Better to get the officials off the pitch asap and sort it out
       from there.
I assume the AR and 4O would have been behind Busby, and in
these circumstances, I'm not sure that they would have been in a
better position to help him out.
Kevin Friend and two penalties - quite possibly, but of course
Busby didn't have the benefit of VAR to help him out.

I have read something similar before, that Kevin Friend says
they should have had 2 penalties. I find it unsettling that this
is made public. Has he seen replays? Has the referee agreed?
Indeed, was the referee in a position to see the incident?
I agree that a couple of possible penalties were denied Ipswich,
but at least 1 could be a 50:50 call.
Did the Ipswich manager go on the pitch to remonstrate with the
referee or at least initially to move his players away?

This is the third reported apology to be received by Ipswich
       from PGMOL this season.
I don't think they should be doing that.

Countless managers and clubs claim to have received similar
apologies on a weekly basis. I wonder if they're either habded
out very easily to shut managers and clubs up or whether
managers hang on to any small crumb of comfort they get and
claim it as an apology. I've been suspicious for some time.

Because there should be no grounds for apology. If the match
officials have made a decision based honestly on their
observations of an event this should not require an apology -
even if their decision was incorrect!

Ipswich defender Leif Davis has been given a retrospective 3
match ban starting tomorrow at Sheffield Wednesday for an act on
violent conduct in the game against Leicester City.
All I would say is that I hope the FA had better and more
clearer angles than what I have seen. Nothing conclusive to me
that suggests a clear hair pull.
I also love how nothing gets mentioned about the kick out by the
       Leicester defender.
I’m all for retrospective punishment but this does not get
handed out enough in my opinion.
