       A MADLEY - Spurs v Palace

I’ve seen it all now.. offside by a nasal cavity thanks to SAOT.
Think Madley hasn’t been very good tonight. Got in the way of
play a couple of times and a few odd decisions.
At least he booked Sarr for waving an imaginary card at him.

It all leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I'm not going to say
what I think because I'd have to ban myself!

Penalty and a red card for Van Der Ven. Looked the right
       punishment to me.

A decision that also leaves a bad taste in my mouth too. He
looked onside from the grass strips… I can’t say I overly trust
SAOT at the moment. Spurs had a similar offside decision go in
their favour against Newcastle with a slither of his head
       offside.
I actually disagree about your opinion of Madley tonight. Think
he’s been very good so far - all the cautions correct (good to
see Sarr punished for waving the imaginary card)
DOGSO and penalty spot on. Good to see a referee making that
call without having to go to VAR.

Assuming you weren’t going to allege corruption, and I’m sure
you weren’t, I think you should say what you think. Chances are
it’s only what most football fans think anyway.
This cannot have been what was in the minds of people who
decided football should have a VAR system.
Everyone looks mystified at everything and I feel for the refs
       as much as anyone.

I said offside at the time, whilst there was the line of the
pitch it was obvious that Sarr was leaning forward and his head
was going to come into play. Was actually surprised it was as
close as it was once the image came through.
I really don't see the problem, if you are offside you are
offside. Do athletes (or racehorses) complain if they lose a
race because their opponent finishes ahead of them by a nose?
       No, of course they don't.

I agree with TTFL Madley’s decision making hasn’t been fully up
to scratch - caution for Strand Larsen was harsh when he let
Porro off for a more blatant pull back in the attacking third.
He’s still been a lot better than Spurs though. Absolutely
       atrocious

Slightly off topic, but my god spurs are big trouble this
season. They looked disoriented, lack of confidence and all over
       the shop.
Would be the most unexpected and inexplicable relegation of all
       time.
       What a mess.

Why unexpected and inexplicable? They'd have been in grave
danger of relegation last season had the promoted teams not been
       so abjectly bad.

Could be an interesting second half for Madley.
The atmosphere is beyond toxic in the ground, I’ve never heard
an atmosphere at a big ground or club in a long time like that.
