Darren England has had an absolute shocker there. He basically
can’t book anyone ever again for a shirt pull! Refs get a hard
time from fans and pundits over consistency, but bloody hell,
they really don’t help themselves at times. England has done
himself or his colleagues no favours whatsoever with that
       non-decision. So poor.

The nonsense going on from corners is ridiculous…
Go and play rugby for goodness sake. It’s like watching a
       collapsing scrum.

Why doesn’t he get a grip of it instead of standing there like a
statue?. Absolutely no authority whatsoever. Weak refereeing.
Made an easy game so much harder than it needed to be

Not upto the standards expected by a SG1 referee I’m afraid and
his two big appointments coming up over the next week or so I
really hope he picks himself up

Good stuff from England apart from the obvious pull i think.
Moyes whinging at the end as per usual, he can have no
complaints. Wasn't perfect but certainly satisfactory and leaves
him in good shape going into Sunday.
As for the rugby, let them do it and whistle it i say.

Absolutely 100% - he done that thing that annoys me and just
booked two players involved but he didn’t do enough to control
it. Something needs to be done about set pieces and corners,
players can’t keep getting away with the holding that goes on.
It’s far too much and ruins the game at times.
Overall, it was a very average performance by a referee I don’t
rate particularly highly. Always took the safe option, lacked
any real authority and I felt he was more reacting to players
rather than making decisions in his own right. The non-yellow
for Branthwaite was baffling as described above.
Nothing for Paul Howard in VAR to get his hands dirty with but
it was far from a convincing performance by England.

Was everything ok with your telly? I firmly agree with every
poster on here - that was a poor showing from England and made a
fairly straight forward game much harder than it needed to be
with poor and hap hazard decision making.
