Excellent RC decision for SFP against Phillips. Plays the ball
but an incredibly dangerous follow through which is up into the
knee of the Wednesday no8.
Remarkably similar to Tarkowski’s challenge on MacAllister last
season.

Josh Smith has been excellent!
Spot on with the red card. He has remained very calm but in full
control.
Could get interesting now Wednesday have just scored.

I was very critical of Josh Smith just over a fortnight ago when
I watched him live (perhaps too harshly on reflection) but
credit must be given when a referee performs excellently well
and today was an excellent performance by Josh.
I thought his foul detection was excellent and all of the cards
were spot on. Today’s performance reminded me of the level I saw
from him two years ago which resulted in him getting pretty
regular premier league games. If he keeps performing at that
level then there’s no doubt in my mind he should be considered
for SG1. Excellent performance, well done Josh 👍

I wasn’t paying the closest attention to the game but the bits I
did watch he got right, was nice to see sfp correctly identified

I didn't watch the game as I was driving but I listened to it on
the radio. The Talksport commentary team were full of praise
for his performance from start to finish.

On Ref Watch, DG when commenting on the correct red card said he
was very good or words to that effect. A shame for the city of
Sheffield which really needs a Premier League Club.
