Over the last 40 years the two clubs have met 28 times and there
hasn't been a single away win!

I’ll add that to my accumulator for the weekend!

Almost exactly two years ago Richard Eley had a crowd of 11000
at Oldham in what was billed as his biggest game to that point,
and seems to have continued quite rapid progress since, so I
doubt if a slightly bigger game up the road will be a problem.

Let’s hope Ed Duckworth performs better than his below par
performance at Tranmere with one of the worst red cards of the
season. He appeared to be getting some decent appointments but
does not appear to justify them at the moment.

You may have thought it one of the worst red cards of the
season, but the appeals panel didn't agree, rejecting Luke
Butterfield's application to get it overturned. I wasn't at the
game and from the footage could see the arguments favouring a
YC. However the general view from Birkenhead seems to have been
at worst neutral regarding Mr Duckworth's performance.

It goes on much longer than that!
Last time Blackpool won a match at Bolton was 19th December
1959!
Last time Bolton won a match away at Blackpool was almost as
long ago: 10th September 1960
Now that's a stat for a pub quiz!

And knowing these stats, it’s a given that they’ll be an away
win!

Not impressed with the appointments this weekend. Corlett was
4th to Stockport on Tuesday and in the middle for them today,
and Drysdale, from Lincolnshire and never refereed Lincoln in
his long career in charge of Cardiff’s game? Obviously no fault
of the officials
As for Ross Martin in our game, thought he did well but it was
far from a difficult match to officiate. Only mistake I recall
is he missed a fairly obvious advantage for Wimbledon on 55
mins, I liked how he held his hands up to apologise which was
quickly accepted by everyone.

Why have you discounted Blackpool's 3-1 win at Bolton on 31st
March 1986 ???

Swindon Town FC (First Team) v Crewe Alexandra FC (First Team)
Live on SkySports+
Football League 2
Referee: Dowle, Kirsty
Assistant Referee: Howick, Kevin
Assistant Referee: Carmichael, Marcus
Fourth Official: Massey-Ellis, Robert
A match that I didn’t really see much of as I was out. Based off
what I saw, Kirsty let the game flow but let Crewe get away with
a lot of time wasting. There are mixed views from both sets of
fans too.
One incident to note that I did see - 90 mins have been played
(I’m watching on sky sports +), and the FO doesn’t seem to have
put the board up for stoppage time. I guessed 5/6 due to the
stoppages and time wasting. It had got to the 94th min and sky
still hadn’t put how much time was added on, and neither did
Flashscore (who are normally pretty reliant). It got to 94:30,
and Kirsty blew up. But all of a sudden, +5 appeared next to the
score board…..
Swindon manager Ian Holloway was kicking off at something at the
end of the game, and our manager was trying to calm him down. He
then had a go at the FO, who was showing him his sheets of
paper. Then Ian walked down the tunnel and kicked it!
Just before this, when making subs, the FO’s board wasn’t
working very well at all. I could hardly see the numbers being
shown at all, so this could be the reason why no time was
indicated. However, don’t teams usually have a board each?
