2 interesting decisions in this one
First one around 1:38 mark. Defender stops ball on goal line and
it then hits his arm. Thought it was interesting, given all the
talk around this scenario recently.
Second incident at the 7:00 mark. Offside given

Both decisions correct imho. There is no VAR in the Championship
and so the officials have to go by what they see. AR correct,
attacker in an offside position. He is however right in front of
the keeper having just finished touching the keeper. Attacker is
slow to move out and so the question is, did he block the
keepers view and did he make a deliberate play for the ball. He
ducked to avoid the ball but that's all. Did he distract the
keeper?
If the ball went into the top corner, I would suggest the goal
stands, but it didn't so could the keeper have saved it without
the distractions? Not sure but I cannot blame the officials for
taking the safe option. Unfortunate for Birmingham who ended the
game well on top.
The first incident I thought it was boot to hand which is not
handball as I understand it! Accidental but who knows these
days?

On RefWatch, at the start of the program a certain JB
categorically stated that VAR should be got rid of. 40 minutes,
after reviewing a Championship game where the officials got it
wrong, he said that the Championship needs it! DG with a huge
grin was very quick to point out this absurd contradiction!
