Chris Kavanagh - Everton v Burnley

Good first half from Kavanagh generally. Really interesting
situation with the Westwood caution. It was a horrible tackle
but Schneiderlin got straight up (kudos for that) and it seemed
that he was only going to give the free kick. Then Schneiderlin
went down and needed a bit of treatment - nothing too dramatic
and didn't appear to be trying to get a bigger punishment for
Westwood, but the stud marks on his thigh were clear for
everyone to see. Following this quick treatment, Kavanagh
cautioned Westwood.
I wonder if there was any word from one of the others in his
ear? I suppose there must have been for him to take the action
he did.

He had a good game never eyecatching, didn't notice the caution
which I consider to show his quiet control of the game without
histrionics . Well done and in front of the families of Harvey,
Kendall and Ball. Great tribute unveiled to those players

Chris Kavanagh refereed the Merseyside Derby and won plaudits
all round. This was another excellent performance from one of
our best officials. I thought that he handled the Westwood
caution well and he allowed the game the breathe. He is a
pleasure to watch.

Hackett speaking who clearly wouldn’t cope with the modern day
game with the bulk he carried.

He Only ever spouts rubbish.

In my opinion Keith Hackett is beginning to overstep to point of
just spouting rubbish. Here's something he tweeted today where
he makes out that a decision from Anthony Taylor effectively
decided the tile race:
"The turning point in the Premier League title was decided in
the Man City v Liverpool game. 31st minute when Kompany went in
from distance with two feet off the ground on Mo Salah. Anthony
Taylor failed to red card the offence! City won 2-1"
Isn't it deeply irresponsible to write something like this?

I'm not sure why this is posted here as it's patently nothing to
do with Chris Kavanagh, Everton or Burnley! However, I have
just been listening to a piece on Radio Five Live and the
general concensus was that as the difference between Man City
and Liverpool was so small, the title race was virtually
decided in this fixture as the only game that Liverpool lost.
Although you may disagree with Hackett, perhaps in the
circumstances he may just have a valid point although of course
a red card then may not have affected the result.
