Anthony Taylor - Tottenham v Newcastle Utd

Loving the courage from Taylor to caution two Tottenham
midfielders - Xavi Simons and Pape Sarr - for simulation in the
middle of the pitch.
I will always say the only way to stop simulation is to punish
it so well done Taylor for doing so.
Think Taylor is having a good game myself.

How ridiculous was that offside call against Willock? A tiny
bit of his forehead was offside but he scored with his foot! I
know that is the way the law is written now but surely we must
have second thoughts about it. An attacker when running is
leaning forward so it is always possible his head will be in
front of the defender. Why not make the offside relate the
position of the foot? The game is called football after all! I
know Wenger has been looking at ways to sort this out. Be
interesting to see what he comes up with.

However you can score with your head, so head position is
relevant

I very much doubt you could impart enough force on the ball to
beat any keeper with that tiny sliver of your forehead!! If
that had been an FA Cup game the goal would have been given - no
VAR!

However, as you can score with your head, that must be a

All that does is move the line that is discussed it won't solve
the oh he is just 1mm offside just let it stand.

hi,
i hear wenger has talked of 'daylight' between attacker and
defender before offside is given which, in this instance would
have meant the goal stood. incidently, as willock was given his
debut by wenger a month before 'le professeur' left the
emirates, i think he would of been happy if this one had counted
[emoji3]

Might be a difficult scenario for evening or late afternoon
games.
